The correctional service is in the expansion stage to meet the increased need for new prison places. As part of the expansion, the Skogome Institution will increase the number of places from approx. 200 to 800. This object includes the reconstruction of the old main building, Village 012. The existing main building, built in 1992, must undergo reconstruction to adapt to new functional requirements. The building, which has an area of ​​2445m2 BTA (2117m2 LOA), is built on three levels, of which the lowest level is designed as a basement. Today, the building houses the central guard, large kitchen, staff canteen, administration and storage. The building is to be integrated as part of the new administration building, building 028 and connected by a connecting corridor. The entrance to the building is via building 028. No clients will stay in the building.
