ETH Zurich, LL HIL Large-cycle renewal The task of this tender is the large-scale renovation of the HIL and the Expansion of area through additions and conversion or expansion of parts of the HIG garage. The HIL provides this central building of the D-ARCH and, in addition to the HIF building, also for the D-BAUG. Today the building has 840 workplaces (490 FTE). By the time we move in, this number of people will increase to an estimated 1, 100 (630 FTE), due to slight growth both departments, as well as the integration of the D-ARCH users from the ONA and HIT buildings, as well as a few D-BAUG uses from the HPV. The current number of students in the two departments ARCH and BAUG is around 3, 500 (as of 2025). The HIL offers 1, 900 Lecture hall and seminar room space and additional large drawing rooms, also for exams.
