The Project will provide a long-term initiative focussed on building, investing in and sustaining Australia-s domestic capability to increase and improve the supply surety, availability and reliability of the ADF-s GWEO inventory. The investment in Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) is a key 2024 National Defence Strategy (NDS) initiative and requires additional investment in the Storage & Distribution (S&D) network to deliver a strategically aligned and fit-for-purpose network. The location of the Project is Nationwide. The following Work Elements (WE) have been identified : WE 1. Mount Stuart Training Area (QLD) - expand existing deep storage node, WE 2. Townsville Field Training Area (QLD) - New Surge Facility Storage and Transfer Hub (SATH), WE 3. Twofold Bay (NSW) - expand existing deep storage node, WE 4. RAAF Base Gingin (WA) - new deep storage node, WE 5. Cultana Training Area (SA) - new deep storage node, WE 6. Woomera Test Range (SA) - new deep storage node, WE 7. King River (NT) - new Surge Facility Storage and Transfer Hub (SATH), WE 8. RAAF Base Learmonth (WA) - new Surge Facility Storage and Transfer Hub (SATH).
