Through its Third National Development Strategy, the Qatari government launched a logistics strategy with the aim of strengthening Qatar's position as a global logistics hub. These initiatives aim to diversify the economy, reduce trade costs, and streamline business processes. Initially, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry was tasked with overseeing the strategy, developing approximately 50 projects and initiatives to achieve its objectives. Responsibility was then transferred to the Ministry of Transport for further development and follow-up. Collaboration with the National Planning Council has resulted in the addition of new projects, bringing the total number of initiatives to more than 75. To ensure effective implementation and alignment with national objectives, this tender was issued to establish a specialized executive office to oversee and manage the strategy's implementation and to assist the current management team that manages and monitors the strategy's work, ensuring the strategy's objectives are met efficiently and effectively. The Land Transport Licensing Department, through its leadership of the National Strategy for the Transport and Logistics Sector, is responsible for monitoring and overseeing the implementation of the National Strategy for the Logistics Sector (Transport and Warehousing Sector) at the Ministry of Transport. The department is also responsible for monitoring the necessary studies, projects, plans, and key performance indicators for the sector, in coordination with relevant authorities in the State of Qatar.
