Special Notice Special Notice Page 3 of 3 Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source   The Department of Veterans Affairs, Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Campus, intends to award a Firm Fixed Price sole source contract to BARD PERIPHERAL VASCULAR, INC. under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b) (1)(ii) to BARD PERIPHERAL VASCULAR, INC., located at 850 W Rio Salado PKWY, Tempe, Arizona 85281-3802 for the Gamma Finder III Probe. This urgent requirement is to purchase the Gamma Finder III Probe, which is currently needed at the Margaret Cochran Corbin VA Campus Medical Center. The Gamma Finder III Probe is a handheld intraoperative gamma detection device primarily used in oncologic surgeries. Its lifesaving utility comes from its ability to detect and locate radioactive tracers within the body during surgery. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 339113 Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested and capable sources who submit capabilities in support of this requirement are responsible for appropriately marking information if it s proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. Due to the urgency of the need, this requirement will be sole sourced.  Any capabilities received in response to this notice shall be considered for future requirements. No requests for capability briefings or telephonic inquiries will be honored.
