Environmental plan De Haven Description: Within the municipality of Smallingerland we are active in drawing up an area-wide environmental plan. In the transformation plan we choose to implement the transition to the environmental plan, as far as possible, area by area to grab. The first change to the environmental plan concerned changing the rules for the Drachtstercompagnie core and the inclusion of a number of regulations. This environmental plan has been unanimously adopted by the municipal council and has been published. This means that we would like to start with the following area; namely the (partly) noise-zoned industrial estate De Haven. The Port has been one of the economic pillars of Smallingerland for decades. This is where everything is created, developed and innovated - by companies that are deeply rooted in Drachten and that together provide thousands of jobs and have a major regional impact. The unique combination of industry, inland shipping and space has traditionally made De Haven a strong business location.
