Delve(delvedatabase.org) is the World Bank-s global platformfor data and insights on artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM). It wasestablished to address persistent challenges in the sector, such as limitedaccess to reliable data, fragmented knowledge systems, and the exclusion ofminer voices from formal decision-making processes. The platform serves as acentral knowledge hub, providing structured datasets, country profiles, thematic reports, and analytical resources that inform evidence-based policyand development interventions across the ASM value chain.Recentreviews and stakeholder consultations have highlighted usability and dataarchitecture limitations that hinder the platform-s impact. Common issuesinclude difficulties in finding content, inconsistent metadata, limitedguidance for contributors, and an overall static user experience. Stakeholdershave expressed a clear desire for a more dynamic, interactive, anduser-friendly platform that improves data discoverability, standardization, andpersonalization while retaining Delve-s credibility as a trusted globalknowledge resource.Toaddress these gaps, the World Bank seeks to engage a qualified consulting firmto implement priority technical enhancements. The focus will be on improvinguser interface and navigation, metadata and tagging systems, and developing anAI-enhanced data explorer to make Delve more interactive and responsive todiverse user needs
