The City of Chilliwack requires the services of a Consultant to provide engineering services for the Fairfield Island Source Water Feasibility Study. The selected Consultant should complete a desktop and field-based source water feasibility study, including but not limited to exploratory borehole drilling, in the Fairfield Island area up to 1 km north and west of the Fairfield Island neighbourhood in Chilliwack to assess groundwater quality and aquifer productivity to provide source water for agricultural processing and the City-s potable water supply. The field-based work should be completed during the summer when temperatures are highest, to account for climate change impacts on the local groundwater as completely as possible.
