The City seeks proposals for engineering design services for the extension of Republic Commons by approximately 400 linear feet, as shown in Figure 1, below (the “Roadway”). The City wishes to connect the Roadway to the existing intersection of N. Oakwood Avenue and W. Farm Road 174. The Roadway is to be 39 feet wide to the back-of-curb with curb and guttering systems. In conjunction, approximately 450 linear feet of eight-inch water main will be extended to N. Oakwood Avenue. The Roadway, water extension, and associated stormwater management infrastructure will need to comply with applicable regulations and standards (hereafter, “the Project”). The following scope of work outlines the specific deliverables and services to be provided: (1) Prepare Construction-Level Roadway, Water Main, and Stormwater Conveyance Plans. (2) Conduct topographical and boundary surveying of the Project area. (3) Prepare documents and exhibits for right-of way acquisition and utility easements. (4) Prepare detailed Construction Cost Estimate, including itemized breakdowns for labor, materials, equipment, and other project costs, and accounting for contingencies and inflation. (5) Coordinate with utility providers to ensure utility conflicts are identified and resolved early in the design process. This also includes ensuring proper clearance and relocation, if necessary, for existing utilities in the Project corridor. (6) Complete all permitting required with the extension of the Roadway and water line, including those requirements set by the Department of Natural Resources.Show Less
