U.s. Special operations command (ussocom) anticipates contracting on a sole source basis with aerometals, 3920 sandstone drive, el dorado hills, ca 95762 (cage: 32664) to purchase one set of an engine inlet barrier filter (pn: 1060k1-3) with supplemental type certificate on a uh-60 aircraft for government testing.
The proposed action will be processed as a firm fixed price purchase order for items which the government does not own specifications and/or drawings to permit full and open competition. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of far 13.106-1(b)(i). Firms that recognize and can provide the supplies are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for a competitive proposal; however, the government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date iaw far 5.203 (a). A determination by the government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the government.
