EfficiencyOne is soliciting proposals from proponents with necessary qualifications and experience to provide energy modelling plans for the Mi-kmaw communities.The key goal is to create and deliver tailored Community Energy Modeling plans for each community, ensuring a high degree of input from community members throughout the process. This initiative holds significant potential for advancing deep energy retrofits, clean energy production, electrification, demand response, and fostering community development within the Mi'kmaw communities. The report outlines community-centric engagement strategies, explores funding and partnership opportunities, and considers the potential impacts and challenges of this collaborative endeavour. This initiative will seek to understand the long-term energy and climate goals of the Mi-kmaw communities in Nova Scotia, provide actionable recommendations within existing EfficiencyOne services, and encourage collaborative future program design, delivery and financing opportunities..It is anticipated that the contract with the successful proponent will be for a period of eighteen (18) months.
