We¿re looking for an emergency/mass notification service that can meet our needs during a crisis, but that also fits seamlessly into the City¿s overall communication strategy. We are looking for a solution that can provide the functionality listed below without being overly complex; it should be easy to use for those sending and receiving messages. 24-hour support services for City officials sending messages must be available in case of any troubleshooting issues or immediate concerns that may arise. Given the importance of alert notifications, it is imperative that residents are able to easily subscribe (and unsubscribe) to alerts, of their preference, at will. Our alerts must be accessible for the entire community, including those who have limited computer skills or technological capabilities, who read and write languages other than English, and who are hearing and/or visually impaired. Within that community, we must easily be able to target specific messages to specific groups, both day-to-day and during emergencies. In addition to being able to support our opt-in mass notification program, we are looking for a service provider that would be able to provide an opt-out Mass Notification capability also referred to as ¿Reverse 911¿ capabilities.
