Tender Details

The Pays Bastiais Water Authority currently has a sludge elimination platform located on the continent, which ensures the treatment of all the sludge produced on the Bastia South depollution site. However, the current system is subject to operating constraints which no longer guarantee the continuity of public service. In fact, the transport of skips by sea is no longer ensured in conditions compatible with the normal operation of the Step due to the commissioning of two new vessels powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) which are not equipped to transport sludge skips. In fact, the weekly reduction in the number of ship rotations has a strong impact on delivery conditions. including, in certain circumstances, a blocking of empty skips departing from the main ports of the continent. Situation which endangers the sludge treatment process at the local level and consequently the continued operation of the station purification. Due to this recent development, the logistical constraints surrounding the transport of bins to continental composting platforms have become difficult to manage and call for a search for alternatives capable of to guarantee the sustainability and efficiency of the sludge sector.
