Detailed_Description : The Ministry wishes to acquire classified airborne topographic Lidar digital elevation data and derivative products for selected geographic areas across Ontario. The intent is to acquire the Lidar data in leaf-off conditions over two (2) years with two (2) optional one-year extensions. The acquisition will be divided into two (2) phases per year with each Phase covering specific geographic areas to specifications defined as further described herein, so that the Ministry can make the acquired data available through the Geospatial Ontario Warehouse (Ontario GeoHub) to be a resource for the private, public and academic sectors. Combined with quality assurance through field validation, this data will be used in support of a variety of elevation-related purposes such as flood mapping, engineering and infrastructure projects.
Scope of Work : The Vendor shall acquire airborne topographic LiDAR elevation data and develop the products in respect of such data for the areas within the Province of Ontario identified by the Ministry as further described in the RFB Attachment Part 3 - Deliverables.The Deliverables shall be completed in Phases, with each Phase representing a leaf-off Spring or Fall season with ideal collection conditions and consisting of two stages: (i) the collection of Lidar elevation data from the Defined Project Area for such Phase and (ii) the development of the Data Products in respect of such data and delivery to the Ministry as further described in the RFB Attachment Part 3 - Deliverables
