Expression of Interest are invited for Electronic Payments in Montenegro

Description: In many emerging markets, despite the availability of various types of electronic payment services, their adoption by consumers and merchants is not optimal. Several factors are at play, including the quality of the digital financial services ecosystem,  costs to merchants and businesses, consumer behavior and attitudes, the legal and regulatory environment.The World Bank, in collaboration with the Central Bank of Montenegro, aims to conduct an assessment of the electronic payments acceptance (EPA) landscape in Montenegro. The assessment will include an in-depth analysis of the current state of the electronic payments ecosystem and provide recommendations on implementing actions that improve acceptance and usage of electronic payments in the country.For this purpose, the World Bank seeks to collect reliable data on the EPA ecosystem,  on the merchant side, consumer side and provider side.

Following this invitation for EOI, a shortlist of qualified firms will be formally invited to submit proposals. Shortlisting and selection will be subject to the availability of funding.
