Amendment 001:

This amendment dated 11 April 2024 to the Sources Sought posted 08 March 2024 is to extend the response date and to provide additional clarification that NAVAIR is seeking eligible business firms who can produce up to three (3) quantity Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) Energy Storage Subsystem (ESS) shipsets, inclusive of all required forgings, comprised of a quantity of twelve (12) ESSs, for a total of up to 36 ESS, in support of the anticipated U.S. Navy CVN 82 aircraft carrier, and Foreign Military Sales Future French Carrier, and potential U.S. Navy CVN 83.



Additionally, any eligible business firm shall be required to enter into an Associate Contractor Agreement (ACA) with General Atomics, the original equipment manufacturer of the EMALS system, to ensure complete compatibility between equipment, data, and services for the EMALS System to prevent unnecessary duplication of effort and in order to maximize commonality.
