Description : The AMD Planning Section increased its Aquatic Biologist compliment in December 2022. With the increase in staff, additional equipment needs are required to maximize work efficiency of two biologists. The purchase of a new electrofishing backpack unit is critical to allow the two AMD Aquatic Biologists to each lead electrofishing survey teams simultaneously, including at different locations across the state. Further, the addition of a new electrofishing backpack unit, exact in specifications to AMD Planning Section's existing electrofishing backpack unit, will serve as a one-to-one backup should either electrofishing unit experience mechanical failure.
