Description : KCS professional services, acting for and on behalf of Kent County Council (KCC) wish to create a regional, user friendly, time and cost-effective framework agreement for the supply of electrical vehicle charging points and associated services.

This framework will include two lots:

Lot 1: Electrical vehicle charging points and associated services

Initially in Kent there will be 156 sites to start with, which require a range of charger speeds. It is expected that the supplier will fund most of the works and provide a revenue share back to the customer. Government Grants (namely On-street Charging Scheme) could be applied for as part of the project and other external funding may be provided by project partners. The SE7 (South East Seven) are looking for suppliers to provide an affordable charging network that will be widely used within the respective areas.

Following the Governments pledge to cut carbon emissions by 80 % by 2050, the sale of new petrol and diesel cars will be banned by 2035. This framework agreement will assist regional public sector organisations in being prepared for the increase in demand for charging points.
