The historic fishing village combined with historical remnants from the war and fantastic nature with white beaches and bird cliffs give the area a varied and appealing attraction. The project is a collaboration with Vadsø municipality and consists of an upgrade of visitor parking in connection with the beach with the establishment of a service building and renovation. Skallnes viewpoint: A few kilometers further east from Ekkerøy you will find Skallnes. A unique geology and the encounter with a wide landscape that dramatically plunges into the sea has made the place a popular stopping point today. The arrangement will ensure safe parking and accommodation in the height gap between the plain and the sea. There a hiking trail is established towards a knoll that hangs over the spring stones where it must be secured with a handrail adapted to the site. Several smaller seating areas will also be established along the path. Documents
