Description : As part of District 7's (07) efforts to support the 2028 Summer Olympic Games (LA28), we are requesting Edge Video Compression devices for installation at CCTV locations along game route network. These devices are essential for improving traffic management and public safety. These items are needed to support D7's traffic management activities for the LA28 Summer Olympics as Los Angeles will host many games during this event. These devices enable the efficient streaming of high-bandwidth video from CCTV cameras, reducing data transmission costs and ensuring reliable operation. This allows TMC and Caltrans to provide real-time traffic visibility on public platfonns like QuickMap, facilitating timely updates for visitors. Without them, the newly installed cameras would not operate efficiently, which would hinder real-time traffic visibility.
