economic development 360 degree vertual reality experience
the rdbn is requesting proposals to design, develop and deliver 360 immersive virtual reality experiences in the region. the goal is to complete vr experience videos showcasing top recreational activities, as well as provide eight sets of the necessary equipment to display and promote the vr experience. this equipment will be used at visitor information centers throughout the region.
the vr video should be available through a 360 platform using headsets, as well as clips available for viewing through visitbulkleynechako.ca and visit bulkley-nechako youtube channel. for example, jane will put on the vr headset, choose an activity from a menu, such as kayaking, and then enjoy an interactive experience as if she were seated directly in the kayak.
the motivation behind this project is to raise awareness of what the bulkley-nechako has to offer by featuring the region through vr experience and encourage tourism in the region.
