The present document, including the annexes, constitutes the selection guide for the services of an advisor in the context of innovative construction for infrastructure projects. Specifically, the assignment primarily addresses the question of whether and how geopolymer concrete can be an alternative to conventional concrete, particularly in the design of a (bicycle) bridge and, secondly, parking lanes. The entire lifecycle of the chosen concrete type must always be considered (including sustainability and circularity aspects). Here, the term "geopolymer concrete" is understood to mean an alkali-activated binder without (or with a very small amount of) cement and with a low CO2 impact, generated by the reaction of calcium and aluminosilicate powders with an alkaline activator. This alkali-activated binder replaces Portland cement-based materials in conventional concrete. The use of mixtures with both high and low calcium content is permitted. Traditional cement types (CEM I to CEM V) are not included in this definition. The assignment will consist of, among others, the following tasks: (i) Advising on the application of geopolymer concrete; (ii) Assistance in the preparation of the testing program (indicative list see Annex 6 below); (iii) Conducting, monitoring, and analyzing a testing program with reporting; (iv) Checking whether and to what extent the calculation models of Eurocode 2 and the standards related to concrete (EN 206 + NBN15-001) are applicable or need to be ad...
