Ubc request for proposal (rfp) 2016010043 - dual channel frequency-domain near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) system.the university of british columbia, department of radiology (cluster 4) intends to acquire a dual channel frequency-domain near infrared spectroscopy (nirs) system to support the prime research infrastructure located at bc women s hospital & health centre. The perinatal research imaging evaluation (prime) centre will be dedicated to cross-sector, multidisciplinary research projects which develop new technology and medical applications using ultrasound and light-based modalities such as near-infrared spectroscopy (nirs) to improve the health of pregnant women and newborns. Located at b.c. Women s hospital, prime will enable translation of research discoveries into improved medical practice and new, marketable technology.
