This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Responses to this source sought notice must be in writing. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential businesses interested and capable of providing the services described below. The Raymond G. Murphy VAMC requires the purchase of 500 cases of canned drinking water. The VA Loma Linda is located 1501 San Pedro SE, Bldg 46 Logistics Warehouse, Albuquerque, NM, 87108 and is the expected place of delivery. The prospective contractor must be Brand Name or Equal parts specifications provided in the Salient Characteristic document. QuantityDescriptionBrand or Equal 500 Cases consisting of 24 each/12 oz. cansCan drinking water Blue Can Requirements:Drinking water that is packaged in a container must be FDA-certified with a non-BPA epoxy coating protecting the contents. The container must have a 50-year shelf life. The water containers and packing materials must be recyclable to be compliant with Green Environmental Management guidelines. The containers must be stackable to reduce the storage space needed. 30 DAYS ARO after award EPAShould the contractor manufacturer and/or providing company brand the product, the contractor should utilize, if possible, recycled materials for containers as long as they meet the FDA sanitary standards for the specified commodity.
