Tender are invited for Project # SFAPT00483The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) is proposing to resurface the King Cove Airport runway, taxiway, apron, and access road, and to address erosion and ponding issues. DOT&PF has informed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Alaskan Region of their intent to apply for federal funding assistance or the proposed project. The proposed work includes the following activities: • Resurfacing Runway 08/26, taxiway and apron• Replacing the rotating beacon, wind cones and segmented circle (in-kind replacement) • Relocate the supplemental wind cone to inside the fence which will require a new pad• Resurface segmented circle embankment (moving segmented circle up to 30 feet to be outside runway object free area [ROFA])• Resurfacing the gravel portion of the access road and both wind cone access roads• Install or replace signage and utility work as necessary• Drainage improvements as necessary (e.g., culvert repair, ditch reconditioning, rock armoring, etc.)• Performing miscellaneous fencing repairs along the existing fence a...
