Description

the requirement is to establish a contract(s) for the manufacture and supply of distinctive currency paper, non-distinctive banknote paper, and test paper samples to support the bureau of engraving and printing (bep) manufacture of u.s. Currency. There are presently three types, or specifications, each for distinctive currency paper and non-distinctive banknote paper. Non-distinctive banknote paper and test paper allow for the potential for customized configurations of paper features (e.g., embedded threads and watermarks). Respondents are to understand that the paper to be manufactured and supplied is a blend of cotton and linen fibers with each sheet, depending on the specification, possibly containing features such as security fibers, embedded threads, and watermarks.
