The Historical Museum in Oslo needs specially designed showcases for the proper display of its two mummies with their coffins. The museum needs specially adapted showcases that ensure a high level of audience experience and safety for the objects. There are functional requirements, especially concerning the opening mechanisms of the showcases and action the objects in and out, as well as the lightning of the exhibited objects, that we might need more thorough discussions on and are likely to lead to changes in the design. It is expected that there will be a development of the showcase design in collaboration with the chosen producer. It is also expected safe transportation and delivery of the showcases to the Historical Museum in Oslo.
