The mechanical and production engineering department of the vocational school Gradia will purchase a press brake in accordance with the 2026 investment plan as a direct purchase. Bystronic has been acquired for the field of mechanical and production technology based on the tender conducted in 2024 press brake and related BySoft CAM software with licenses. In connection with the acquisition, the system has been integrated with the UR10 collaboration robot, which was implemented by Oy Machine Tool Co. The robot integration in question has been implemented by Bystronic as a manufacturer-specific solution based on a control and software platform, and the integration cannot be transferred to other manufacturers' devices without planning and implementing a completely new integration. The industry also has a valid BySoft CAM software maintenance contract, and the software licenses in use enable simulating the user interface of the device in educational use without new software acquisitions. Basis of direct procurement: Technical reasons and compatibility (Acquisitions Act § 40 subsection 2 subsection 2) Procurement Act direct procurement is allowed when the procurement requires special technical compatibility and not reasonable no alternative solutions are available.
