Dike reinforcement Den Oever - Den Helder Description:The Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier (HHNK) is the manager of the Waddenzeedijk between Den Oever and Den Helder. The dikes between Den Oever and Den Helder do not meet the legal standards water safety. This concerns the Balgzanddijk, Amsteldiepdijk and Wieringer Zeewering sub-sections. These sub-sections are part of the standard sections 121 (Balgzanddijk and Amsteldiepdijk) and 135 (Wieringer Zeewering). These dike sections will be reinforced within the national Flood Protection Program (HWBP). Hoogheemraadschap Hollands Noorderkwartier is the manager of these dikes.
