Tender Details

Tender are invited for Digitization services on behalf of the Library of Congress for two units, the Motion Picture, Broadcasting, & Recorded Sound Division, and the Veterans History Project. The MBRS selection consists of approximately 425 two-inch video tapes from the National Educational Television (NET) and Public Broadcasting System (PBS) collections, created in the 1960s and 1970s. These tapes are a subset of larger collections that exist on deteriorating media. The VHP selection consists of moving image materials in a variety of formats, including VHS, S-VHS, VHS-C, S-VHS-C, Hi-8/Digital 8 videotape and 8mm, 16mm, and 35mm film. The focus of this VHP project is the most vulnerable formats. Note : there are two 35mm cellulose nitrate films, each about 5 minutes in length.
