The city of Raseborg is in need of a system to digitize the operations of the central and distribution kitchen. The system must be a web-based solution that can be used via modern browsers and function as a comprehensive support for meal planning within the business. It should enable smooth handling of recipes and menus, with a clear connection to raw materials and products, as well as support for planning menus over time. For each dish and ingredient, nutritional values must be able to be managed and followed up, at the same time as the system offers functions for cost calculation per recipe, menu and selected time period. The solution should also facilitate purchases and orders by generating data based on planned menus, as well as support internal orders between e.g. central kitchen and distribution kitchen. Product data must be able to be updated centrally to ensure uniform and up-to-date information throughout the organization. Furthermore, the system must be able to produce reports that provide an overview of costs, number of portions and nutritional content, and if necessary also enable follow-up of wastage. An important part is accessibility and communication: food menus must be published on the web and be accessible to, for example, students via mobile phones. The system must have a multilingual interface (Swedish and Finnish) as well as offer training and support in both languages.
