As part of Seinajoen Ammattikorkeakoulu Oy's Hackathons as Innovation Accelerators for Etela-Ostrobothnia project, 3 hackathon innovation competitions are being piloted, in which multi-person teams made up of SMEs, startups or other formations interested in entrepreneurship solve case challenges and compete with each other in hackathon events with their solutions. The object of the procurement is therefore a digital facilitation platform, which will be used to facilitate the hackathon innovation competitions implemented in the project and to support the joint development of the teams. The solutions correspond to to the case challenge that the commissioning company or organization has set in advance. Case challenges are refined together with the project team and the case client before they are published. The case challenge is solved in the competition by business teams that develop and present solutions to the challenge. Kick Off at the event, the solving teams get more information about the case challenge. The process also includes experts and mentors who support the solution teams. After this, the teams develop their ideas on the now available digital facilitation platform. Solution proposals at the end of the hackathon the case is presented to the client company and the winning solution is selected. A significant amount of the innovation and development of the project's hackathons is done on the facilitation platform.
