Project description:
contract will include all work necessary to design and furnish governor control retrofit equipment to convert the existing woodward & pelton hydraulic cabinet actuator governors to electronically controlled hydraulic turbine governors. Turbine types include kaplans, fixed blade kaplans, and francis units.
The retrofit shall be comprised of programmable logic controllers and auxiliary equipment, which operate and control hydraulic turbine control and speed regulating equipment. Control will include the start/stop sequence of the turbine generator. Services of an erection engineer, skilled programmers, and training of the government operations and maintenance personnel will be required.
