This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation by the Government of Saskatchewan (GOS) to prospective Proponents to provide Submissions for the provision of digital elevation data for the northern timber supply areas, as further described in the RFP Particulars (Appendix A). The Ministry of Environment (ENV), Forest Service branch (Forest Service) is developing a forest resource inventory (FRI) for the provincial forest and fringe timber supply areas on Crown resource land outside of the provincial forest. Development of the inventory requires information on the topography and tree heights, combined with field plot measurements. ENV, Forest Service is looking to procure services for the provision of digital data describing the ground elevation for every 5 meters (m) across a 2.5 million hectare (ha) Area of Interest (AOI) encompassing the Northern Timber Supply Areas (Northern TSAs). For this project, the Northern TSAs can be divided into two sub-areas: a) Wapawekka East, which contains portions of the North East and North Central TSAs, and b) LaRonge West, which contains portions of the North Central and North West TSAs (Figure 1).
