Description: Purpose of the development of Ε.Σ.Ο.Θ.Ε. is the timely awareness of the prevailing situation in the maritime area of responsibility of LS-EL.AKT. (Maritime Domain Awareness), in real time and on a 24-hour basis. In this way, the Ε.Σ.Ο.Θ.Ε. In addition to protecting the EU's external maritime borders, it will actively contribute to the management of migratory flows, and to combating all forms of crime and delinquency in the Greek maritime space. It will also shield safe navigation and effective monitoring of maritime traffic, and at the same time, will maximize the effectiveness of measures to protect human life throughout the area of responsibility of LS-EL.AKT.
