Please note that this is not a call for tenders but a publication announcing the Contracting authority-s intention to publish a future negotiated low or middle valueprocedure. The scope of work will include the design, implementation and evaluation of software tools, libraries and solutions based on generative AI, preferably based on open source frameworks and models, to support JRC objectives in the context of digital EU policy implementation. In particular, the work is expected to include: - the development of tools for the retrieval, analysis, classification and/or generation of multi-modal information including, for example, text, images, video, source code; - the development of solutions to enable the training, fine-tuning, deployment and evaluation of custom generative AI models and solutions; - the development of advanced solutions based on generative AI agents that interact with tools and services in sandboxed environments according to given objectives. Deliverables will include working software implementations, as well as documentation describing the analysis carried out in order to explore and select any components employed, such as open source packages. Software deliverables will include source code, design documentation and user instructions, deployment and test code, and any information and artefacts necessary to use the solutions developed in on-premise production environments.
