this synopsis is for informational purposes only. This is not a solicitation for work or a request for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations, and shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of usaid.
Agency need
the agency's demand for developmental evaluation (de) services will extend beyond the period of performance of the current development evaluation pilot activity (depa) for monitoring, evaluation research and learning (merl), hereafter referred to as the depa-merl contract, scheduled to expire on september 30, 2019. The depa-merl contract is currently the only globally available buy-in mechanism for developmental evaluations (des), and its end date of september 30, 2019 precludes any additional buy-ins onward, given the fact that des run for at least twelve (12) months for optimal results.
