In 2021, Technopolis opened its immersive space “Zeekracht”. This space was dedicated to the marine ecosystem ranging from the fish in the sea to the ports and alternative energy sources at sea. After five years, Technopolis has decided to use this space update it and develop a new theme. The new theme will be: “Health and healthcare of the future”. Visitors will get an idea of ​​how young people will deal with (their) health and healthcare in the future. Not only technical and technological developments are examined, but also social developments, ethical issues and the holistic approach to healthcare with themes such as balanced nutrition and mental well-being. For the This time, the content design will be closely collaborated with a consortium of partners from the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector. Technopolis already has a preliminary process in place, together with a digital-creative partner and representatives of the target group taken to develop the concept for this zone. Many lessons were learned from the previous zone, especially in the area of ​​interaction with visitors. The concept was given the working title SOCIAL MED.
