Tender Details

Tenders are invited for Development and management of an online platform supporting job seekers and green businesses in Jordan.

GGGI for its projects in Jordan invites all eligible companies to submit their proposals for consulting services to develop and manage an online platform supporting job seekers and green businesses in Jordan.

PROJECT BACKGROUND:
Jordan faces natural resources scarcity necessitating a transition to a more sustainable and resource-efficient economy. Environmental challenges, such as desertification, land degradation, and water shortage, can be mitigated through the creation of green jobs that minimize the negative environmental impact of economic activities and encourage sustainable practices. At the same time, high unemployment rates, especially among refugees, host communities, youth, and women, can be addressed by generating new green employment opportunities, targeting marginalized groups, and promoting social equality. Green jobs also contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation, helping Jordan meet its commitments under the Paris Agreement. Furthermore, green jobs projects align with the UN SDGs.
To address these issues, GGGI is implementing the project called “Creating Sustainable Green Jobs for Refugees and Host Communities through the Green Economy in Jordan”, financed by KOICA and co-financed by GGGI, for 3 years (2023-2026). The objectives of the Project are to:

· Provide evidence of the economic and environmental benefits of green employment to enable a green employment environment in Jordan,
