Expression of Interest are invited for Developing Integrated Passenger Terminal with Transit-oriented-Development & Public Private Partnership

Assignment Description: -

The World Bank is preparing the Indonesian Mass Transit Program Support Project (IMTPSP) to enhance urban mobility and accessibility on high priority corridors in selected Indonesian cities. In Greater Medan, IMTPSP is envisaged to support the development of a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT). This assignment will provide technical advice on integrated terminal development that can be implemented as a mixed-use hub that contains transport facilities and a variety of office, retail, residential, and other community uses as part of the Greater Medan BRT through public private partnership (PPP). The key actions to achieve this goal are to: (i) conduct a baseline assessment covering policies, urban structure, transport connections, disaster and climate resilience, municipal infrastructure and real estate trends within Greater Medan and the BRT Corridor; (ii) screen potential locations and recommend site options to implement a pilot Transit-Oriented Development (TOD); (iii) provide preliminary design options to implement a pilot TOD at a terminal location; and (iv) stakeholder consultation. This activity is funded by the Quality Infrastructure Investment Partnership Trust Fund.
