During off-peak hours, the MPS plant will use electric energy from thegrid to pump stored water from the lower reservoir to the upper reservoir.During peak hours, the Project will generate electric energy, to cover the peakdemand in the Java-Bali grid system, by conveying the stored water in the upperreservoir to the lower reservoir through hydraulic turbines.
