Tenders are invited for Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Fire Protection Systems and Related Works to Anthony Abell College, Belait District, Ministry of Education, Negara Brunei Darussalam.
FIRE HOSEREEL SYSTEMS
Design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance within Defect
Liability Period of new fire hosereel system inclusive of water panel tank, control panel,
fire hosereel pump, plumbing works, fire hosereel equipments, spare parts and related
works to school respective building and area where necessary as per BFRD requirement
and specification which consist of but not limited to the folowing:
Reinforced concrete bench with steel I-beam connected to existing slab approximate
height 0.5m for fire hosereel tank.
Stainless steel panel tank with minimum water storage capacity of 2275 liters and
maximum of 9100 liters complete with tank label, water indicator label, climbing ladder
(if required), accessories such as valve, inlet and outlet for plumbing works. Water
storage capacity and water flow rate for the firefighting systems and installations shall
be provided in accordance with the scale as set out in the PBD12.
Hosereel pump control panel complete with power armour cables on tray, control
wirings in conduits, brackets, connection to nearest source and all necessary
accessories and works required for a complete installation.
Heavy duty fire hosereel pump system Electrical complete with all pumps associated
gate valves, flexible connectors, pressure gauges, strainers, check valves, vibration
isolators, brackets and all other accessories to BFRD Specification and Approved Type
Only.
Plumbing works which consist of Stainless steel pipe or Galvanised steel pipe (to be
decided by BFRD) tap from nearest existing main water supply connect to newly
installed water tank, newly installed pump system, distribution pipe to all newly
installed fire hosereel equipment including all necessary accessories, valve, fittings,
sockets, connectors, reducers, plugs, elbow, tees, union, nipple, bush and other similar
pipe fittings including excavation, hacking to floor, wall ceiling and making good all affected area.
PORTABLE FIRE ExTINGUISHERS AND FIRE BLANKETS
Supply, delivery and installation of Portable Fire Extinguishers and Fire Blankets
complete with parts and accessories inclusive of maintenance within Defect Liability
Period to schools respective building, room or area where required to be provided as
per BFRD requirement and specification which consist of but not limited to the
folowing:
Portable fire extinguishers of recommended type and size shall be provided in
accordance with the relevant codes of practice and shall be sited in prominent and
accessible positions on exit routes to be visible from all directions, inside or outside
special purpose rooms and corridor or hallway. The quantity and siting of the fire
extinguishers shall meet and comply BFRD requirement
All portable fire extinguishers where required to be provided shall be charged, tested
and maintained in fully operational conditions and properly tagged as per accordance
to requirement.
All portable fire extinguishers shall be hung, hooked securely placed on galvanised form
bracket or hanger fastened to wall, mounted 1 meter height from floor level to the
handle unless otherwise stated.
The operating instructions of portable extinguishers shall be located on the front side of
the extinguisher.
Maintenance record tag or label are to be adhered to the back of the extinguisher
cylinder with additional labels located adjacent to the existing.
Upon installation, quarterly routine servicing inclusive of inspections, repairs and
preventive maintenance service shall be carried out to ensure all portable fire
extinguishers and appliances are in good working condition. Any extinguisher and
appliance found to be not in proper working condition shall be reconditioned and/or
recharged/replaced to required standard. A maintenance record shall be provided to
sequentially record the maintenance carried out on each fire extinguisher.
