Tender Details

Designpro renewables ltd. Is a technology design and development company based in co. Limerick, ireland. It is engaged in the fabrication, testing and performance validation of hydrokinetic turbines that convert the kinetic energy within river and estuary flows into electrical power. It has licensed a proprietary hydrokinetic turbine design from gkinetic energy ltd., and has recently secured development funding under the eu's horizon 2020 sme instrument to scale up its technology and develop a device which demonstrates the full functionality of an operational, simulated grid connected device. The company is requesting tenders from parties (or a consortium of parties) to assist with the detailed, design, build, deployment and testing of a floating 60 kw turbine platform that can host the turbines, a defined motor - gearbox unit and a power offtake control unit supplied by the company. The design will be undertaken based on outline specifications provided by the company. Detailed drawings will be required, followed by fabrication and assembly of the platform sub-components to validate preliminary fit and functionality. Thereafter the unit will be disassembled, transported to the co. Clare ireland test site, and reassembled at dockside, for deployment and testing in a suitable flow regime.
