Tender Details

Design, Acquisition & Installation of a Renewable Energy System Solution at the Barbados National Terminal Company Limited (BNTCL)
The scope of work will include, inter alia:
i. Design to specification, supply of equipment and installation of one (1) 5 MW p DC, or greater,
utility interactive PV system and grid interconnection Plant;
ii. Design to specification and construction of all associated civil and structural works;
iii. Voltage regulation and production, capacity, grounding and bonding assessments;
iv. Lightning protection, arc flash, corrosion and erosion control and fault, surge and harmonic
distortion assessment and mitigation;
v. System modelling for license application;
vi. Accommodation of monitoring, control and metering equipment and software;
vii. Procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning of the foregoing systems and
equipment;
viii. Post-commissioning operation and maintenance;
ix. Operation & maintenance programme development;
x. Training and certification in the maintenance and operation of the facility; and
xi. Compliance with local and international legislation, standards, codes and industry best practice,
including execution of an approved health, safety, security, environment and quality (HSSEQ)
management plan.


. Interested Bidders will be invited to a virtual pre-bid conference which is to be held on December 2, 2021
at 10:00 a.m. Barbados/Atlantic Standard Time (AST). Interested eligible bidders may obtain further
information from the NPC-s Project Execution Unit at the address below from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. AST. A
complete set of bidding document in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission
of a written application to the email address provided and upon confirmation of payment of a nonrefundable
fee of One hundred ($100.00) Barbados dollars or equivalent amount in US currency. The method of payment will
be via direct deposit or wire transfer to Scotia Bank Account #40055-9021565. (The amount charged for the
Bidding Document is subject to a wire transfer charge, which must be paid in full by the Bidder.A scanned
copy, screenshot or picture, as applicable, of the payment should accompany the email.) The document
will be sent by electronic mailfrom pmo@npc.com.bb. The Employer will use the Best and Final Offer method in the
evaluation of bids.
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below no later than 3:00 p.m. Barbados Time on January 25, 2022.
Electronic bidding is not permitted. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of $500, 000 Barbados
Dollars or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency. Bids will be opened in the presence of
bidders- representatives and anyone who choose to attend online at 3:30 p.m. Barbados Time on January
25, 2022. LATE BIDS WILL BE REJECTED
