DESALATION UNIT OF N. MOUDANI The object of the contract is the supply and installation of a brackish water desalination unit capable of producing 2, 000m3 of drinking water per day in a container or other type with all accompanying works fully installed and connected to the water supply and distribution networks, as well as the provision of operation and maintenance services of the unit. More specifically, the scope of the contract concerns: A. COMPLETE Brine WATER TREATMENT SYSTEM •Conductor of suitable diameter from HDPE and approximately 520m long, transporting raw water from the existing A/S1 pumping station to the Desalination Unit. • Retention of the brackish water in a prefabricated storage tank - equalization of a minimum volume of 250m3 placed on a slab concrete and reverse osmosis unit feed through centrifugal pumps (100% installed reserve). •Decontamination. • Pumping the brackish water from the tank. •Filtration in multiple layers of sand. •Dechlorination. • Addition antifreeze. •Filtration through filter cartridges. • Pumping at high pressure. • Desalination with reverse osmosis. • Brine removal through a tank of suitable volume, a brine pumping station and a pipe of suitable diameter made of HDPE and a length of approximately 1, 500m to the charging well of the EEL N.Moudanion submarine pipeline.
