The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) is using this Sources Sought announcement to conduct ongoing Market Research and identify interested sources capable of manufacturing and delivering Demolition, Charge, Block, ¼ LB TNT, NSN 1375-00-926-9394, DODIC: M030, 1/2 LB TNT, NSN 1375-00-926-9316, DODIC: M031, 1 LB TNT, NSN 1375-01-576-5211, DODIC: M032.

ITEM DESCRIPTION:
The ¼ LB charge block of TNT is primarily used for training purposes. The ¼ LB block is issued in a cylindrical, waterproof, olive-drab plastic cylindrical container. The plastic container has a threaded cap well in one end. The charge is a solid block of pressed TNT, measuring 1 ½ inches in diameter by 3 ½ inches in length that contains the M1A5 Priming Adapter. A total of 192 charges and 48 priming adapters are packaged in a wood box. The block can be detonated either by M6 or equivalent blasting cap or detonation cord.
The ½ LB charge block of TNT is used for all types of demolition work. The ½ LB block is issued in a rectangular block (with rounded corners), waterproof, olive-drab plastic rectangular container. The plastic container has a threaded cap well in one end. The charge can be a solid block or up to seven pellets of pressed TNT, measuring 2 inches square by 3 ½ inches in length that contains the M1A5 Priming Adapter.
