Hemostatic bandages Tourniquet The Ministry of Defence's Material and Procurement Agency (FMI) wants to conclude two framework agreements on the supply of medical products for emergency treatment. The two sub-agreements deal with the following: - Hemostatic bandages - Tourniquet Closer description of the products can be found in Appendix 1 of the Agreements - Specification of requirements. Hemostatic bandages are most often used together with general. compression bandages, and are used for heavy bleeding as well as e.g. traumatic amputation of extremities or gunshot wound. The tourniquet is used for manual bleeding control/stopping, for example in patients with traumatic amputation of extremities.
