Oxfordshire County Council is looking to bring in an executive-level Delivery Director to lead the delivery of its strategic change portfolio. This is for an initial six-month term from January 2026, leading up to a government decision on LGR. The expectation is that the individual will work three days a week during this period.
Working to the Deputy Chief Executive, the Delivery Director will be responsible for developing and optimising OCC's Strategic Change Portfolio, incorporating delivery of Transformation, LGR and Devolution. They are expected to work closely with OCC officers responsible for strategic direction in each of these areas, taking this direction and translating it into delivery. The Delivery Director will also lead the re-design of the corporate PMO, setting it up for success, as well as developing a wider culture of programme delivery amongst the council's senior political and officer leadership.
