BMC-BMC_2026_preperso_cards - 1 On behalf of public transport companies in Belgium (SNCB, STIB, De Lijn, TEC), Belgian Mobility Company SA (BMC) wishes to use external companies to manufacture microprocessor cards, more precisely Calypso smart cards. These companies will be able to purchase the cards directly and without exclusivity according to the specifications and terms which will be specified in the specifications. Belgian Mobility Company SA (BMC) is a public law company whose corporate purpose is to conceptualize and develop a common electronic ticketing system for public transport tickets in Belgium. BMC wishes to use external companies for the production of microprocessor cards, notably Calypso smart cards, on behalf of public transport companies in Belgium. The public transport companies in Belgium are: - SNCB - STIB - De Lijn - TEC These companies will be able to purchase smart cards directly and without exclusivity. according to the specifications and terms which will be specified in the specifications. The Calypso standard is specified in the Calypso Revision 3 wearable specifications. The current standard is Calypso revision 3.2, but while running the mission, it may also be possible to request a technological evolution towards a later Calypso version to be determined.
