The focus of this RFI is the Data Centre LAN for UCalgary. This includes all of the network elements (i.e., switches and routers) up to the NICs in the servers. It does not include networked storage devices, nor does it include separate devices intended to provide security (i.e., firewalls, IDS, IPS). It also does not include any network services devices (i.e., WAN optimization controllers, application delivery controllers). In addition, there are no Campus network elements included in this RFI, which is being addressed separately.
